Soferul din Fiat 500 este deosebit de vulnerabil din cauza airbag-ului ce ii poate impinge capul ispre stalpul A, miscare ce la randul sau determina partea superioara a corpului sa intre in contact cu volanul. Mai mult, ADAC a descoperit ca airbag-ul se desumfla intr-un timp foarte scurt de la activarea sa, lasand ca forta impactului in caz de accident sa provoace rani grave la nivelul gatului, picioarelor si zonei pelviene ale soferului, viata acestuia fiind serios pusa in pericol.Pe de alta parte, pasagerii din Audi Q7 ar fi supusi unui risc minim in cazul unei asemenea coliziuni cu un Fiat 500. Pana si pasagerul de pe locul din mijloc al banchetei din spate ar fi mult mai protejat decat cineva ce s-ar afla in masina mini, cu toate ca impactul frontal este foarte periculos pentru pentru el.

Reuters Swedish car giant Volvo sets a target to eliminate death and injury in its vehicles by 2020. The firm says it is claiming a first in setting a target date in the race to cut the world-wide crash toll of 1.2 million deaths and 50 million injuries each year.
